In addition to near and dear once and common Muslim have also some rights. Isbahani has mentioned these rights in his book Targhib wa Tarheeb from a narrative of Hazrat Ali (R.A.A).

- If a Muslim brother commits a fault, excuse him.
- Show him mercy when he weeps.
- Conceal his weaknesses and shortcoming.
- Accept his apology.
- Try to remove his difficulties.
- Wish and work always for his well-beings.
- Protect and love him.
- Give him concession, if he is indebted or burdened.
- Pay him visit when he is sick.
- When he dies take part in his funeral and burial.
- When he invites you accept his invitation.
- Accept his gift.
- Repay his good turns with goodness.
- Give him thanks when you receive some blessing fro him.
- Help in time of need.
- Help and protect his family and children.
- Supply his needs.
- Respond to his prayer.
- Accept his recommendation.
- Do not disappoint him, if he ask you for anything.
- If after sneezing he says "Al-ham-du-lil-Lahh" (Praise be to Allah), respond to hum by saying "Yar-ha-mu-kal-Laah" (May Allah have mercy you).
- If you come across his missing things, convey them to him.
- Talk to him politely and amicably.
- Always do good to him.
- If he swears for any thing, trusting upon you, fulfil his oath.
- Respond to his greeting.
- Help him, if someone dose him wrong, so as to stop the wrongdoer from wrongdoing.
- Be friendly and do not be inimical to him.
- Desire for him what you desire for yourself.
- Do not defame.
some other traditions contain the following additional rights. - Salute him, and better, shake hands with him when you meet him.
- If by chance a quarrel occurs between you and another Muslim reconcile the difference soon and do not stop conversation with him for more then three days.
- Do not think ill of him.
- Do not envy and hate him.
- Enforce the rights and forbid the wrong to the best of your ability.
- Be respectful to elders and kind to youngers.
- If two Muslim fall out with each other, try to make peace between them.
- Do not backbite another Muslim .
- Do not cause him harm in any way,neither in wealth nor honour.
- Help him if he is unable to mount a conveyance or to load something on it.
- Do not occupy his seat by depriving him of it.
- Where there are three person the two of them should not talk to each other by ignoring the third person.
